Pearl ATSC PSIP GeneratorThe Thomson Pearl ATSC-PSIP generator provides static and dynamic output, versatile remote editing, and comprehensive source-management capabilities to provide fully FCC compliant MPEG-2/ATSC transport streams.Pearl also lets broadcasters easily fulfill the latest FCC requirements for dynamic PSIP generation, broadcast-flag management, and audio signaling. Pearl uses the XML, TMS, and PMCP file interfaces to facilitate connectivity with both Thomson and third-party hardware, and its multi-source management system automatically prioritizes, merges, and manages these inputs. A built-in scheduler creates all the necessary tables (MGT, VCT, EIT, ETT, etc.) to provide static and dynamic PSIP generation. Its versatile editor builds a complete broadcast network setup with multiple transport streams and channels distributable by Ethernet or ASI. An optional smart-data package integrates Pearl with Thomson’s NetProcessor processing and multiplexing equipment.
