Amethyst III Redundancy Switcher
The Amethyst III is a high-density redundancy switcher. For applications requiring a fast, dense and efficient 1+1 redundancy management, it provides a scalable and intelligent way to protect your digital TV network—and keep it up and running.
The Amethyst III offers high density switching capability (Single, Dual or Quad ASI 2:1 switches in 1RU) and delay compensation especially useful for networks redundancy and DTT SFN preservation. The Amethyst III is equipped with dual power supplies/plugs and continuously analyzes the inputs (TR101 290, template checking). It performs a seamless switch if one of the inputs is detected as having been corrupted. To guarantee service continuity and perform smart bypasses, the switcher is equipped with up to four relays to memorize and maintain the last valid input as the main output—even in case of power failure.
