Granite Sentinel DTV Monitor

Granite Sentinel DTV MonitorThe Granite Sentinel is a digital TV probe. It supports advanced and comprehensive measurements to monitor terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV networks.

To overcome the challenges of relating a transport stream error with actual signal degradation, the Granite Sentinel presents information in easy-to-view thumbnails, audio and video alarms, as well as in a reconstructed program guide. With these intuitive displays, it is the right tool to check and understand the impact of any protocol error. For even greater levels of detail, your MPEG experts can connect remotely to the Granite Sentinel to view tables, bit rates, monitor TR 101 290 status, and access error logs.

The Granite Sentinel's open architecture relies on protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, and XML, making integration of probes into any global network management system simple. Using the platform with Thomson's XMS™ management system creates a turnkey solution for centralizing measurements coming from different Granite Sentinel units.
